PROMISE
TO PREPARE
is a local Red Cross initiative with the goal of increasing
the number of prepared individuals in our neighborhood. In
today’s climate, it’s more important than ever that all of
us be prepared for possible emergencies. They visit us on
the 34th floor of our office building and the day
care centers we send our children to keep them safe while
we’re at work. They visit us in the form of an industrial
chemical leak, as a highway car accident that you happen to
come upon, or - more personally – as a heart attack from an
aging parent.
Would
you know what to do?
There
are actions we can take that help make a difference. When
you promised to build a first aid kit, create an emergency
plan, get trained, and volunteer, you are taking the steps
to bring preparedness into the community. No one wants to
consider the worst that may happen, but to prepare now means
you can be reassured you’ll know what to do when that time
comes.
